“Grab ’em by the bunny” is a provocative acrylic painting that challenges the controversial figures of Donald Trump and Silvio Berlusconi, two leaders known for their extremely sexist and misogynistic attitudes. Trump has been accused of inappropriate conduct and comments towards women, while Berlusconi has faced accusations of sexual misconduct and has been involved in scandals related to parties and encounters with young women. In this sense, the artwork serves as a strong critique of such inappropriate behavior, while also aiming to generate reflection on the inherent issues of physical and verbal violence against women. Furthermore, it highlights the importance of treating women with respect and consideration in all spheres of society. The painting is inspired by the recorded conversation between Donald Trump and Billy Bush, where Trump made derogatory and misogynistic comments, including the infamous phrase “Grab ’em by the pussy.” In the artwork, the word “pussy” has been replaced with “bunny,” which serves as a euphemism with the same sexual connotation but in a less direct manner. “Grab ’em by the bunny” is a work that exemplifies the power of art as a tool for social critique. Personally, as an artist and researcher, I believe that graffiti and urban art provide an appropriate means to address and reflect on various aspects of society, such as politics, social injustice, discrimination, and inequality. These forms of artistic expression allow for incisive questioning and public debates on social issues. In this sense, I consider these art forms to play a significant role in social criticism and in promoting change and collective awareness.
